General Baptist Bible College (GBBC) set the stage for an evening of grandeur and distinction with its highly anticipated event, themed “Unleashing Greatness: A Night of Elegance and Excellence.” Held at the Sunny Point venue on Friday, March 22, 2024, the affair promised an unforgettable blend of sophistication, camaraderie, and celebration.
The event commenced promptly at 5:00 PM, as students, faculty, and staff made their grand entrance, exuding elegance and poise. The evening unfolded with grace under the guidance of emcees Marcus Joaquin Quijada and Champagne Morales. The ambiance was further elevated by the captivating Candle Lighting Ceremony, led by Carmen Gene Bugoy, followed by an Invocation delivered by Sheila Deleña. The stage was then set for the evening’s festivities with the inspiring Opening Remarks from Sir Manuelito D. Abogadie, Basic Education Principal, who extended a warm welcome to all in attendance.
The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the words of inspiration segment, delivered with eloquence and passion by Mr. Raymark Cortez, the esteemed speaker for the night. Cortez’s powerful message resonated deeply with the audience, igniting a sense of purpose and motivation among those present. Following Cortez’s address, Harold Mendo took the stage to express heartfelt gratitude to the speaker on behalf of the GBBC community, recognizing the profound impact of his words.
As the evening progressed, attendees were treated to a sumptuous dinner accompanied by special performances. Laughter and camaraderie filled the air as students, faculty, and staff came together to celebrate the bonds that unite them.
The culmination of the event came with the presentation of awards, where individuals were honored for their outstanding contributions and achievements. From the Early Birds, Carmen Gene Bugoy and Cyvin Dale Muñasque, to the dynamic duo of Kristel Valerie Nidea and Ken Jumawid, recognized as the Best Dressed, each recipient exemplified excellence in their own right.
Other notable awardees included Davie Josie Sioco and Nathaniel Angelo Nartatez, hailed as the ultimate Head Turners, and Raul Carlos Te and Denise Amber Urdaneta, who captured hearts as the King and Queen of Hearts. The evening also celebrated Karl Krysler Taroja and Adrienne Nayne Pacag as the epitome of elegance as the Gentleman and Lady of the Night.
A crowning moment of the event came with the announcement of the Prom King and Queen, Harold Jerome Mendo and Nathalie Angela Nartatez, who were met with thunderous applause and cheers from their peers.
