The recently concluded DAPRISA Literary Festival, held on February 21-23, 2024 at Stockbridge International School, Christian Colleges of Southeast Asia, and Precious International School of Davao, respectively, showcased a wealth of talent from budding literary enthusiasts. Despite fierce competition, participants across various grade levels demonstrated commendable skills, leaving an indelible mark on the event.
Raiden Joy T. Dumale of Grade 1 delivered a captivating poem, while Sabrina Michaella N. Ande from Grade 2 mesmerized the audience with her storytelling prowess. Grade 3’s Aquimand A. Lachica delivered a powerful declamation, earning well-deserved recognition for his emotive performance.
In the Grade 4 Elocution category, Kenth LJ D. Zapanta secured the 3rd runner-up position with his eloquent delivery. Alta Anechca Maureen C. Angeles of Grade 5 showcased exceptional talent in Creative Reading, enthralling listeners with her interpretation.
The highlight of the festival was the Grade 6 Speech Choir, where participants displayed remarkable teamwork and synchronization. The combined efforts of Al Prince J. Aplal, Cedrikk Nomyer G. Basilio, Benz Ivan O. Capinig, Phriam T. Diego, Jason Matit’yahu G. Falcatan, Audi Brandt R. Gaurano, Cedrick M. Macario, Cartphen Jay N. Magnipez, and Don Roi V. Tilos, along with Lorianne Faye K. Abe, Shian Gayle G. Cemene, Mary Anne Erich B. Doronio, Sophie Bezaleel R. Hortel, Quiara P. Lamata, Charie C. Maisling, Ashley Lyn T. Miquela, Xanya Pauline Pardillo, Maria Bella Joan A. Quijada, Jaeliah Esther M. Vito, and Yurika T. Yamaguchi, resulted in captivating performances that left the audience in awe.
Although not all participants received medals, their dedication and passion for literature illuminated the festival. GBBC is so thankful to its Literary Coach, Teacher Jonaesette L. Singson, for guiding our learners throughout this journey.
